Newtown, Conn. The Solution Starts With Me.

I would like to start by telling you, I have children.  I have two sons and both of them attend a local elementary school.  The shootings in Newtown, Conn. hits a little too close to home for me.  Pictures of crying parents who were lucky enough to find their children unharmed in Newtown are enough to bring you to tears.  Pictures of parents who were less fortunate are nothing short of heart breaking.  I can’t help but feel like the tragic events in Newtown could have just as easily happened here in Boise.

I am also a gun owner.  In fact, I have a small arsenal at my disposal.  Hunting rifles, .22’s, pellet guns, a shotgun, and a handgun.  Some of these guns were handed down to me by my Grandfather and my Dad.  Others I accumulated over the past so many years.  They are registered in my name, ...

BEING THANKFUL

My favorite Autum activity is – tailgating before football on Saturday.  What’s not to love about a good tailgate party?  Especially when you fill the parking lot full of people who know how to do it right!  I took a walk thru the parking lot before the BYU game and I saw some fantastic set up’s.

One family was nice enough to show me around the horse trailer they had custom made for BSU football parties.  The inside of the trailer had been transformed into a small kitchen, complete with refrigerator and gas oven.  It also had ...
