A former employee of an alternative school in Wilder has pleaded guilty to giving prescription pain medications to students. The Idaho Press-Tribune reports Roberta Kondo of Nampa pleaded guilty Wednesday. Sentencing is set for Sept. 6. Kondo was arrested on May 2 and was later indicted on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance with an enhancement of distributing it to a person under the age of 18.
She had been an educational assistant at the Canyon-Owyhee School Service Agency since October. COSSA has nearly 1,400 students and is described as an alternative school for special education, including ``at risk'' students and gifted and talented students.
